Overview​

The Drive resource in Valeiot provides cloud-based file storage, allowing users to upload, manage, and share files within the platform. Each file stored in Drive is accessible via a unique URL, enabling seamless integration with other Valeiot resources such as Dashboards, Widgets, Scripts, Devices, and much more.

Key Characteristics​

  • File Types: Supports documents, images, CSVs, JSON, and other common formats.
  • Access Control: Set permissions (view/edit) at the file or folder level.
  • URL Access: Each file gets a unique URL for access.

Use Cases​

  • Image Hosting: Upload custom logos or floor plans for dashboards and widgets.
  • Report Storage: Save automated reports (PDFs/CSVs) containing post-processed Data Points.
  • Backup & Recovery: Archive critical data (e.g., sensor logs) for compliance.
